Our Story
For us, it’s always been about the escape. It’s about the dust on a remote track, the silence of being at high-altitude, and the rhythm you find on an outdoor adventure. That feeling of disconnecting from the chaos in daily life and grounding yourself in the simple freedom of being able to roam.
But for a long time, that freedom felt heavy. Whether we were packing side bags, loading up the 4wd, or stuffing a backpack, we were constantly fighting against bulk and dealing with "camping gear" that wasn’t built for reality. We were sick of fragile equipment that broke after a few trips and ended up in landfill, or heavy duty gear that was bulky or a straight up hassle to deal with.
Solara exists for a simple reason: Less weight, bigger adventures.
We believe that your gear should never be the thing that holds you back. Every product we sell is engineered to earn its spot in your setup. By utilising high-grade, durable and waste-conscious materials, we build and supply gear that is incredibly light and compact to carry but tough enough to handle the outdoors.
