Warranty, Returns & Refunds
We stand behind everything we sell. If the craftsmanship fails, we'll fix it or replace it, for life. If the product isn't right for your setup, you've got 30 days to send it back. Here's how it all works.
Lifetime Warranty
Every Solara product is backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, for as long as you own it. We don't offer this because it sounds good. We offer it because we back our gear.
What's Covered
Our lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur under normal use. This includes:
- Faulty welds, joints, or seams that fail before use.
- Material defects such as cracking
- Hardware or component failure (hinges, locks, fasteners) resulting from a manufacturing fault
- Finish defects that compromise the function or integrity of the product
If your Solara product fails because of how it was made, we'll either repair it or exchange it for the same product. The choice of repair or exchange is at our discretion and depends on the nature of the defect and current stock availability.
Refunds are not available under the lifetime warranty. All warranty claims are resolved through repair or exchange only.
What's Not Covered Under Warranty
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, or conditions beyond the product's intended use. This includes but is not limited to:
- Scratches, dents, scuffs, and cosmetic marks from regular use
- Discolouration, heat patina, or oxidisation (these are natural characteristics of titanium and do not affect performance)
- Damage caused by drops, impacts, crushing, or rough handling in the field
- Damage from modifications, alterations, or repairs not performed by Solara
- Damage from use outside the product's intended purpose (e.g. using cookware as a tool, exceeding stated weight limits on furniture)
- Loss or theft
- Wear on consumable components such as fabric, elastic, zippers, or cord over extended use
A note on titanium patina: Titanium naturally develops colour changes when exposed to high heat. Blues, golds, and purples across your cookware are signs of use, not defects. They don't affect performance and are not covered under warranty.
Warranty Repair & Exchange
- Repair: Where possible, we'll repair the defect and return the product to you. Repaired products remain covered under the same lifetime warranty.
- Exchange: If repair is not feasible, we'll exchange the product for the same item. If the exact product has been discontinued, we'll offer the closest equivalent from our current range.
Return shipping for warranty claims are to be covered by the customer making the claim.
Warranty Conditions
- This warranty applies to products purchased directly from Solara Outdoors (solaraoutdoors.com) or through an authorised Solara retailer.
- Products purchased from unauthorised third-party sellers or secondhand are not covered.
- This warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.
- Solara reserves the right to determine whether a defect falls within the scope of this warranty.
30-Day Returns
Changed your mind, or the gear isn't quite right for your setup? No problem. You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.
Return Conditions
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- In the same condition you received it, unused, unworn, and undamaged
- In its original packaging with all tags attached
- Accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase
Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Change of Mind Returns
If the product isn't defective and you simply want to return it, a 15% restocking fee applies. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs on change-of-mind returns.
How to Start a Return
- Email us at info@solaraoutdoors.com or message us on Instagram at @solaraoutdoors.
- Let us know your order number and the item(s) you'd like to return.
- If your return is accepted, we'll send you instructions on how and where to send your package, including the return address.
Non-Returnable Items
Certain items cannot be returned. These include:
- Perishable goods (including adventure meals and nutrition products)
- Custom or personalised products, including special orders
- Personal care goods
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
- Sale items
- Gift cards
If you're unsure whether your item is eligible for return, get in touch before sending anything back.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is defective, damaged in transit, or you've received the wrong product, contact us immediately at info@solaraoutdoors.com so we can assess the issue and make it right.
Exchanges
We don't process direct exchanges. The fastest way to get the right product is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the item you need. This ensures you get the correct product without waiting for us to receive and process the original.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you whether your refund has been approved. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card provider to post the refund to your account.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return and you haven't received your refund, please contact us at info@solaraoutdoors.com.
Reminder: Refunds are available on eligible returns only. Lifetime warranty claims are resolved through repair or exchange, refunds are not available in that instance.
